About
Alan L. Chow, Esq.

I focus my practice in the areas of trademark, copyright, and general business law. My clients rely on my extensive experience in legal matters relating to business operations and development and as an expert in all aspects of intellectual-property creation, acquisition, and use.

My day-to-day practice includes handling the following:

  • Securing trademark and copyright registrations;

  • Maintaining trademark and copyright portfolios for various companies;

  • Resolving various forms of disputes, including, false advertising, unfair competition, and deceitful business practices;

  • Assisting companies with intellectual property licensing;

  • Drafting agreements relating to commissions, works-made-for-hire, licensing, permissions, assignments, publishing contracts, multimedia, asset transfers, and purchase and sale of content.

  • Corporate formation;

  • Equity and debt financings; and

  • Employment and consulting contracts.

I am currently a professor at New England Law Boston, an accredited law school, teaching students on the subject of contract formation with a focus on intellectual property matters.

On weekends, I lead my daughter’s girl scout troop on wild adventures and conduct crazy STEM projects (e.g. dry ice rockets).
